| ~ Vessie finding the tape recorder. |
Vessie Gredhil is the deuteragonist of the Baldi's Basics the Old Laboratory mod quadrilogy of Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning by Sanspirate.
He was a scientist of Bolder Baldimore's unnamed science team that began conducting experiments of clones of the Schoolhouse staff. One day, everything went wrong as the experiments all broke out and killed almost everyone in the lab, abandoning it. However, Vessie and the Player survived and they later both met.
Later, Vessie would be kidnapped and thrown into the old lab and have his friends tortured to death. Vessie also has to escape now. However, he as to encounter the old, failed experiments again.
In Chapters 2 and 4, he was voiced by series creator Sanspirate. In Chapter 3, his voice was provided by Micah James "Mystman12" McGonigal.
Why Isn't He Truly Heroic Nor Villainous?[]
- All he did is survive, making him not a hero nor villain.
- While he does want to bring his friends back, he's mainly portrayed as a simple survivor, and this happens too late to change his portrayal.
- Him chopping Undead Baldi's head off isn't heroic also, as he did it out of self-defense, not altruism of wanting to stop the monster.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Vessie was a scientist at Bolder Baldimore's science team creating many experiments, some have failed. Vessie also had a group of friends that they presumably hang out with.
Escape and Interacting with the Player[]
He then appears in the Science Pad where he teaches Tila how to answer the questions. Then, in the second notebook, when the impossible question is answered wrong, the laboratory then had an incident where the experiments that failed all broke out, causing Vessie to immediately run out of the lab.
After Tila escaped the sewer off the now abandoned laboratory, they meet with Vessie. Vessie then asks about Tila before then telling the story of the laboratory's abandonment, however, the game immediately ends before he could be heard saying anything.
Kidnapping[]
Vessie then got kidnapped by an unknown person. His friends also got tortured to death by that same individual. Vessie also encountered the Baldi experiment and chopped its head off.
Vessie then collected axe pieces to escape. However, the experiment actually survived and tried killing him. The lab gets burnt down and Vessie gets away. In the secret ending, Vessie finds a tape recorder and then plays it. He finds out it got corrupted and he has to enter a portal to get his friends back.
Due to the final chapter's cancellation, it's unclear if he either succeeded or failed in this.
