Monster Hunter World: Iceborne introduced the Viper Tobi-Kadachi, a fanged Wyvern and a subspecies of Tobi-Kadachi.
Physiology[]
The Viper Tobi-Kadachi's face is similar to that of a colubrid, and it still has many of the traits of the standard Tobi-Kadachi, including the large, spike-armed tail, the fur patches that run across its back, and the slender, squirrel-like body.
Its primary distinction from the common species is undoubtedly its radically different color scheme, which includes burned orange, bronze, and various hues of brown. Its underside and belly also turn pale blue instead of more yellowish.
The Viper Tobi-Kadachi can employ the additional spikes that sprout on its tail as strong darts that can poison its prey. In addition, the Viper Tobi-Kadachi's eyes differ from those of its typical counterpart in that they are more golden yellow in hue.
Behavior and Abilities[]
Strong status effects are part of Viper Tobi-Kadachi's repertoire. Using its fangs or the additional spikes on its tail, it may produce and employ a potent poison to strike its adversaries. Similar to the Nargacuga's tail spikes that cause bleeding, the Viper Tobi-Kadachi may simultaneously poison several opponents within a specific range by using these spikes as missiles. Although the Viper Tobi-Kadachi is unable to perform thunder-based techniques, it can immobilize opponents with its fangs and a lethal mixture of potent venom. Viper Tobi-Kadachi is able to move about its adversaries in a manner similar to that of its normal version since it also keeps the membranes between its limbs.
