The Wayne County Cryptid Busters (real names: Clutch Humboldt, Margaret Motorray, and Griswold) are the main antagonists of the fourth episode of Cars on the Road, "The Legend". They are a group of cryptid hunters out to hunt a "monster" called "bigfoot".

Margaret Motorray was voiced by Toks Olagundoye, Clutch Humboldt was voiced by Matt Yang King, and Griswold was voiced by Gabby Sanalitro.

Why aren't they heroic or villainous?

• Although they do try to hunt down Ivy, their worst actions mainly amount to just annoying her, which isn't enough to make them villains.

Personalities

The Cryptid Busters are very arrogant, egotistical, corrupt, abusive, and sadistic hunters when they want to kill the bigfoot.

Serving to Wayne Country, they joined McQueen and Mater to the Cryptid Busters group and caught out the Cryptid Creature to the Wayne County Family Campground.

Biography

When Lightning McQueen is setting up a campfire at a nature area, only to spot Mater talking with other campers. Mater introduces him to the three cars named Clutch Humboldt, Margaret Motorray and Griswold and learns that they are cryptic hunters. They have arrived in the area seeking out Bigfoot based on a blurry image. Mater reveals to McQueen that he agreed that the two of them would join them in their search. McQueen ends up getting separated from the group and is chased by a giant big wheeled vehicle. As he attempts to outrace it, he runs straight into a tree.

Ivy wants the cryptic hunters out of her mountain area and McQueen and Mater agree to help her. Using things in her basement, they set up a trap for the hunters by convincing them that they are aliens. The Hunters get freaked out and flee the woods for good. Ivy thanks the two for allowing her to "perform" again.

• They were on the Villains Wiki for a long time before being deleted as it was discovered that all they did was annoy Ivy.
• The car named Griswold is named after the family from the Vacation series and is the model of car that they drove.
